What is ArtScape?
ArtScape is a public art program open to artists of all ages. Selected works are reproduced on banners, sponsored by local businesses, that hang on light posts throughout the downtown area for approximately one year.
ArtScape is sponsored by Pearl City Clay House, Chautauqua Art Gallery and the City of Jamestown Parks Department.
Art submissions and sponsorships are accepted December 1 – February 24. (Artists living in Chautauqua County, or within 35 miles of Jamestown, NY may apply with no application fee).

Join us for the Original Art Show opening reception on Thursday, May 21, at Chautauqua Art Gallery and Pearl City Clay House. Original art will be on display through July 4th.
Banners will be hung in June.

A show of the original art will be on display at Pearl City Clay House and Chautauqua Art Gallery from May 21 to July 4, 2025
Original Art Show Opening Reception
Thursday, May 21 • 5-7 p.m.
Chautauqua Art Gallery and Pearl City Clay House
The show will begin at the Chautauqua Art Gallery at 5 p.m. with remarks at 5:30 p.m. Next, guests are encouraged to walk or drive to Pearl City Clay house to view the entire show.
On your way to Pearl City, you can enjoy the Chamber of Commerce’s Third Street Third on Third events. After the show, guests can head back to the Reg Lenna for a free concert at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday Artist Salons
Pearl City Clay House will host three salons this summer. Guests can connect with Artscape artists who will share a little about their work/process in an informal setting in the gallery. An artist list and details are coming soon.
Salons are free to attend.

Plein Air and Sketching
Artists can meet up at the ArtScape tent between 9 and 10 am and sketch or paint at the market. Meet back at the tent at 12:30 pm to check out everyone’s work.
